Team CBC 46 My Way Tavern

A really great ride - the weather was cool but beautiful - I had no trouble finding the new Tavern and was very pleased to find out they were allowing us to use their bathrooms - always a plus before 3 plus hours on the ride - Turtle preformed perfectly - I finally had gotten the seat adjusted to a comfortable recline - I had none of the pain I have been having which I believe the seat was causing by cutting off the circulation in my right leg - I was riding real well and pretty fast - I was riding with the slower 46 mile group - as we left town the group seemed to split apart - I jumped off the back and went to catch the front group to let them know we had gotten split and had dropped a group - it took me a bit to catch them they were doing about 21 mph - when I did catch them I found out they were not riding with our Team CBC group so I dropped back to the others and apologized to jumping off the front and explained why I had done it - I felt a little stupid - at the first rest stop right when we were ready to leave Meri and Laura rode up - I told my group I was going to drop off and ride with them - I was doing fine and feeling good but wanted to ride slower due to the City of Oaks also I had been wanted to do a ride with Meri - it was a very pleasant ride both the faster and slower part - my scale today says I either weight 302.0 or 315.7 pounds - I am real tired of this scale - I am going to be optimistic and take the 302 because I have been eating correctly and exercising and 315.7 would be gaining weight - so to date I have lose 108 pounds - blood sugar was 91 this morning - both good numbers - if I can lose 3 pounds before City of Oaks Sunday I will be running weighting less than 300 pounds - I at my meat and cheese breakfast at 8:30 this morning and the road for over three hours not eating anything and I felt great no problems and did not get hungry -

Galloway Training Run 23 - 6.22 miles

WoW! This was a good run - it was real cold this morning - not sure why we do not start a little later but it was OK - I felt very good was running well and got a pretty good pace - my best 10K distance run yet - no pain or other problems - we had a nice group but I missed my friend Bert today who was running at home instead - Priscilla and Eric have both agreed to advise me if I do decide to run the Tobacco Road Full Marathon instead of the Half - I want to get the two Halves behind me before I decide to commit to a Full Marathon - that distance still seems too far to me - I do believe I could do the distance but I am not sure about doing it is seven or less hours - weight was 306.2 pounds today - blood sugar was 85 - I am beginning to really look forward to the half - it will occur 24 weeks after I started running - all of my gear seems t obe working well I bought a pair of arm warmer today at Bull City Runners taking advantage of the nice discount - we had a nice gathering after the run - the place did not have a Paleo/Primal thing to eat so I did not eat and just waited - I had some cheese sticks with me but did not need them - I ran 6 miles with a starting BS of 85 - I ate breakfast then ran and then did not eat until 1PM and NO blood sugar problem - I love Paleo/Primal -

Thursday Lunch Run

Good run - no idea what was different - felt good - felt fast and the run was sweet - I may have been sick with something - there have been several folks at the office who have been out sick for a day or two - I never felt sick just really exhausted - no pain - I felt good and like I could and was pushing the pace - no more running now until Saturday with Galloway - planning a 6 miles run to be in line with the Taper progression - planning to ride with CBC this Sunday - I have not made a CBC ride for a number of weeks but I have been focusing on running - with a 6 mile run I should have no problem being ready to ride - I will plan on doing the 42 route since I have not ridden for a while - should be fun -

Thursday Morning Run - Taper 12 of 20 days

OK - well I just not sure what to do - I seem to be getting slower and slower even for me - I am running comfortable no pain no problems - just cannot seem to do the pace I have been doing for some time now - I am having trouble believing that tapering is a good idea - I am still going to do it but I am just not sure it is helping me - I ran 13.1 miles three weeks ago after a regular week of training and got my best time ever and I felt great - today I can not even get out of my own way - I will bow to the experience of my friends but I am troubled with how things are going and it is having a real effect on how I feel about even being able to do the half - weight was 318 pounds this morning - blood sugar was 105 this morning - beyond all this I did enjoy running this morning and am happy I can run - it was very muggy but not too hot - if this happens every time I have to taper I may quit doing races not running but just not do races because I like the running but I do miss not being able to do my regular runs - maybe I am just crazy -

Wednesday Lunch Run

OK - well i just do not understand myself - I was still not feeling well but wanted to run anyway and when I started I was feeling poorly so I made myself try to not push the pace and just relax and try to just enjoy the run and I did enjoy the run but I never did get to feeling great but I did end up with a pretty good pace so who knows - no pain at all and felt like I was running real slow but I wasn't - well tapering so no more running today - will just reat as much as I can - tasted this sports drink sample I got called Fizz or Wellness Fizz - sorry I could not take the taste - it was one of the pill type that you put in water - I had trouble getting it to dissolve - shoes still great and I am still using KT Tape -

Tir na nOg Club 19 Run

Good run - a bit muggy out tonight - I ran well and felt good - no pain - Forerunner seem to be normal on the run tonight but when I got home it would not connect to the computer at first now it will connect but will not transfer data - it shows the data and I entered what I could manually but of course I do not get everything or the route - I did not know what is wrong but this is annoying - something it starts to transfer data and goes up to 13% and then fails other time it goes to 0% then fails - I guess I will try resetting it - well this is strange - all of a sudden after at least a dozen attempts it download the data - back to the run - I really enjoyed it and the gathering after the run - Bert and Meri, Emily, Cara and a friend of hers were there - Emily had the younger of her Irish Wolf Hounds - nice and really large dog - they ran together -

Galloway Training Run 22 - 8.57 miles

Good run - felt good and it was nice to run with the group again was also nice to sleep in this morning - there was no need to get miles in before the run - so I did not need to getup until 5:30 this morning which is sleeping in compared to 4:00 AM - just got finished ice bathing my feet - man that hurts - but last week it did seem to help them heal - I had no pain until about mile 6 then it was just a little upper Achilles correcting my from usually helped this at about mile 7.5 the Achilles began to hurt and I could feel that the bottoms of my feet were going to hurt later - My weight today was 308.6 pounds - I weight a number of times because of the poor performance of my scale but I go t this number a couple of time and several other close to it - I have finally lost more weight - 101.4 pounds - blood sugar was 105 higher than I have been getting but not bad - had a real nice gathering after the ride then I went to the Chi Running clinic - it was interesting and I found I am already more or less doing it but I can make improvements - not sure I will take the course but I might -

Thursday Lunch Run

Good run but I felt terrible - I just do not understand this I am tapering and I feel like I am over training - I feel poorly and have no power - in my office I am just exhausted - I still tried to push the pace - I usually push this one the most because it is the last run before I recover for the Saturday run - I was just hard to keep running - my feet, knees, legs everything felt fine, no pain just NO power - I thought I was past this part of the switch to Paleo but maybe not -
OMG - I may know what is going on - someone at work told me I did not look like I was feeling great and when I said I was not feeling well they said well it might be from getting the Flu shot yesterday - I had forgotten about that - maybe that is what is going on!

Real good run and another real good pace - I fell like I am at the point where I could develop some speed if I were not in taper I would work on it but until the two halves are completed I will just do my taper and recovery - felt real good - a little mid Achilles pain during launch for the first half of the first interval otherwise no pain - cool - was nice out there not cold but not hot a little muggy but not bad since it is suppose to rain later today and it looks like it is coming on the radar - I am still very pleased with these shoes - if they are still available I will try to get a second pair when I get paid - they are that much better than the Nimbus - taking KT Tape off and running without it Thursday - interest if it feels different without it on these short runs -

Good run - had trouble getting myself out od the house this morning but I did and had a real good run - foggy this morning and cool but a little muggy was able to run in a T and long sweets - I ran real well felt good no pain - I would have missed a good run if I had not gotten myself to get up and run - tapering seems to be an excuse to say well I am tapering so I must watch out for that trap - weight this morning was 318.4 pounds six pounds lose so far - blood sugar was 104 which I am OK with because I started taking 30 units less insulin last night than I was taking before Paleo/Primal also I ate very late last night and right before bed - maybe not a good idea but I was hungry and did not believe I would make it through the night without eating - I did fell like I had pretty good power today that was nice -

Tuesday Morning Run - Taper day 2 of 20

Good run but I was not moving fast - just a bit tired - was nice and cool out there this morning but not cold - first interval was hard this morning and I had pain like a stone bruise on my right heel and Achilles pain on the launch instead of the landing like usual - both faded and the second two thirds was a good and no pain - today is the first day of third week of Paleo/Primal food - weight was 314.4 pounds which if correct(still not confident in my digital scale) is a 6 pound lose - this is great - my blood sugar was 76 this morning after already dropping my insulin my 20 units so I will drop it by 5 more units this morning - OMG - I just had Hyperglycemia - BAD! - I guess 5 units was not enough of a drop in insulin - I ate my breakfast after the run as usual - took my insulin and twenty minutes later Hyperglycemia! - I hate Hyperglycemia and have not had it since starting Paleo/Primal - well at least all I ate was meat and cheese - so far so good - I will drop insulin again - that will take to me 30 units in two weeks and a day on Paleo/Primal - yea!

Good run - beautiful night and I enjoyed the run but I felt like I was dragging a man hole cover behind myself - was real nice to see Meri, Emily, Dave, Jessica and Cara also Bert showed up after the run - it was great to see him he looked great the day before he had completed 27 miles - my feet were great NO pain - I just did not have much power maybe still tired from Saturday or maybe just because it is me - these new shoes are real promising they are Asics Gel-Kayona 15 - unless they change these may make a real difference to my running - will have to wait and see on a long run -

Good run - cool out there this morning - had a little pain in right foot around the little toe knuckle - it hurt there a couple of times Saturday and Sunday after the run but faded quickly during this run - weight was 318.8 pounds down a little again Cool - I am not measuring Ketones every morning I am not sure it works well first thing in the morning I will be checking after workouts when I can - Blood sugar was 75 this morning so I will be lowering my insulin again to day that will be 20 unit less insulin per day since I started Paleo one week and six day ago - this is so cool - I did not have much peep on this run reduced blood sugars or still recovering from the 14 miles whatever I still ran pretty well - I start Taper today - it is strange for me to not want to to have an excuse to not exercise - who am I - I would really like to run my marathon at 300 pounds or less - three weeks not likely enough time but I will work on it -

Sunday afternoon recovery ride

OK my feet either healed real quickly or the ice bath did help - guess I will have to try it again after my next run that is long enough to make the hurt even though the ice bath does hurt also - also I was not exhausted and need to rest all day Sunday - Paleo? maybe - I hope so - I did take a nap this morning after breakfast but got up around 11 AM and when out and made an adjustment on the trike and took her out for a recovery / shake down ride and the results are encouraging - this was my first ride in almost two weeks - with the seat at this recline angle I did not seem to be having the problem with circulation in my right leg - I still had some pain but I had that pain right from the start and believe it was due to previous injury - mostly I want time in the seat to see how it would feel and it did feel better - I believe I would still like it reclined more and I can do that but will need to drill new holes for the pin the are used to adjust the angle of the seat - I also was having a good time just exploring White Deer Park and riding the trails around it - I will try reclining the seat more and doing another ride -

Galloway Training Run 21 - 14.33 mile

WOW - I had a good run - I admit I was apprehensive about this run and yes my feet HURT and after about 18 minutes in an ice bath they hurt more - they are out now and I am hopping this therapy will speed they healing because it looks like every time I run beyond eight miles I can expect this pain - right now they hurt a lot usually they only hurt when I need to walk on them after a long run - the run went great - I got there a tiny bit late - saw Meri and Emily and their group about to take off - I was not planning to try to run with the they are just too quick for me - I decided to run the perimeter of the mall parking lot - it was well lite and turned out to be almost 1.5 miles which was great since I wanted 4 plus miles before the run - I got back in good time before the start with 4.3 in the bank - I ran with my group and was able to keep their pace until about the last two miles - Priscilla stayed with me just like the time before I did 13.1 - I finished the half marathon distance in 3:55 - I know it is pretty slow but for me it was more than an hour faster than my first run at that distance - I was nice a cool out and did not have real trouble with my feet until about 12.6 miles and I knew I could do this by then - I am really feeling better about my to up coming halves - my feet do really hurt now but nothing else - I got lots of information about Tapering which I have to start Monday from Priscilla - I am sure it will help me a lot - it was real nice to be able to run with the group again it did make the miles seem to go right by - I ran the whole distance that is also a first I walk about the last two miles before - I thought the George and Priscilla did a great job with the group - Jo-Ann was at the start but turned back within the first miles she had showed up with a hip injury hopping to be able to run - I got up at 4AM to do this run my weight was 319.2 pounds so a small lose, my blood sugar was 76 - I was a little worried about running with it so low but I ate my breakfast and did great - my Ketones were again negative - I decided to test them again when I got home from the run and they were at about 5 so maybe test them first thing in the morning is misleading - I am going to enjoy remembering this run for a while -

Well I left the Forerunner on after I left the gym and turn the GPS on so the number are weird but mostly I record this to see what my heart rate during the workout - My workout went well - my weight according to my scale is 320 pounds, Ketones are negative again, my Blood Sugar is 99 up from yesterday but not bad - the scale at the gym weights me at 324 which is annoying especially since I am not comfortable trusting my scale - I do not have any problem with the Paleo/Primal diet I just wish it would do SOMETHING!

Thursday Lunch Run

WOW - another good and quick run - I was feeling good and felt like I was running well - the pace was good also - whats going on - new running from, Paleo, cool weather, no pain I am just not sure but I hope it stays - was cooling feeling than the morning run was dryer feeling also not as muggy in spite of everything being wet from all the rain - the sun even peaked out some - I may run this evening but I also may not and just rest and recover for the long run Saturday - if I had not said anything about it this Saturday I am running a 12 to 14 mile run - suppose to do 14 just not sure if I will be able to - If I get to hurting and need to I will bail to keep form getting injured - pray for me -

Yes - good run and another quick one - I am not sure why maybe the new running form is helping my pace a little - NO pain today also no KT tape today I usually take it off Wed/Thur so my leg can rest with out it being there doing what it does - Well my first official run in the rain - not much rain it was just a drizzle but is was coming down and the road was wet - I have never fallen but going downhill when the the road is wet I am apprehensive about slipping and falling - it is most annoying but I just have to deal with it - it was not real cool but not hot either - weight is the same 320.8 pounds this morning, Ketones still negative but the blood sugar is down again to 90 this morning from 98 yesterday so at least that is improving - why am I not losing weight?

This was a good run - I was not feeling like it this morning and was not sure how it would go but it turned out to be a pretty good run - nice out there warm enough for shorts but over caste this morning - upper Achilles was stiff and sore during the first run interval but after that it stopped the the modified running form does seem to be helping the upper Achilles - this turned out to be a pretty good time for me - I know it is almost incredibly slow but it is pretty good me - I am thinking about trying to get myself to do some little up hill interval repeats on a hill near my home after dinner with Dad tonight - I have not had much success getting myself to do such things but I will plan on it and see - Weight 320.8 this morning, Ketones negative and BS 98 after decreasing insulin by 10 units this is nice - I have lose a few pounds but nothing for several days - I know it is not just going to drop off after I have lose so much but I was hopping for a downward trend not just floating at more or less the same weight -

Good run - felt good but it was a hard run - this was a hilly route and I felt like I was a slug trying to run it - my Achilles hurt at the beginning but only for a little while - I do believe the new running from is helping I just need to get the Achilles to heal so it will stop hurting - I ran the whole 5K with nothing to eat and no water - I had both with me just did not need them - I am just so darn slow - I wonder what is slower than a slug, me!

Good run - not real fast but OK - again not much energy but no blood sugar problems - that is a surprise because my Blood Sugar was 86 this morning and I have not eaten anything yet - I ran a mile with a starting BS of 86 - I will lower my insulin again this morning - weight was 320.4 so no more weight lose at one week on Paleo/Primal - Ketones still below normal - I must be doing something wrong not to be producing Ketones or maybe I am better at using them than I should be - nice and cool out this morning but a little muggy - some stiffness in the upper Achilles but that faded - I was trying to use the modified running form and it does seem to not aggravate the upper Achilles so when that area heals then maybe I can get rid of that pain - no other pain this morning -

Tir na nOg Club 17 Run

Good run - felt pretty good minor Achilles pain no foot pain - felt like I was doing a good pace - weather was nice - warn but not hot and not muggy with a little breeze - was a good night to run - lots or people running tonight - I may and I repeat may have found out where some if not all of my upper Achilles pain was coming from - if I am right the change in how I was running I should see that pain go away - time will tell over the next few days - did well tonight - pace and time was better than I thought - no blood sugar problems - I ate nothing during the run and had no problems - I did not drink either - I had water but did not need to drink and felt fine - i ran for almost an hour and did not eat or drink - I did miss a turn most likely because I was almost hot by a car again - this time from behind - I am having a lot of trouble with cars today - I still do not feel like I have a lot of energy but I do have enough - tomorrow with me the first day of the second week of Paleo - I am looking forward to improving in how I am losing fat, feeling and running - I am very tired tonight - was really nice to see Jon, Emily, Meri, Dave Jessica and to meet Krit tonight -

Good run - a lot better than I expected and a bit quicker than expected - I was feeling pretty good - no blood sugar problems which is very nice - not sure I have the same amount of energy in general that I had when eating more carbohydrates - I miss fruit a little but not much and not a problem - some pain in the Achilles but it faded quickly as I was running - it was real nice out today warm but not hot and pretty dry - almost hit by a car - was crossing an intersection with a car stopped in the intersection that I was watching when a car turned left from the other road and missed me by just one foot - I had to do one of those stop back pedal stops waving my hands trying to stop quickly but he was going so fast that he was gone almost before I saw him - frighting and I was not doing anything wrong - you know I am pretty darn slow but why would they take a chance of hitting me - would it take that much of their time to wait me me to cross the intersection which I have the right-of-way -

OK - well I managed to run I was not sure I would be able to last night - when I got up this morning I started putting on my running kit and shoe by habit and was thinking can I run - I hurt so much Saturday afternoon and evening ans most of Sunday - I enjoyed the run but it was not easy - bottom on my feet are pretty good this morning but the Achilles was still sore this morning but did not hurt too much while running - I am really at a lose to explain or understand why I was hurting this weekend end after the run - the run it self was good and I stood around after the run and talked with a few folks, Bert, Jon and Eric - at the time I felt tire and my legs stiffened up at bit but I was OK I felt - I am not making any progress on being almost crippled after runs beyond 7.5 miles - I just do not know what to do I like the runs but I hate being crippled for the rest of the weekend - Last week I ran more than I ever have and felt fine on Friday when I was resting so WHY did I hurt so much after the ran - I just do not understand how my friends do these runs and then are still able to do other things after they runs - I am also really worried about what might happen to me this coming weekend when I am suppose to and planning to run 14 miles - I only ran 8.2 miles last Saturday how can I run 14+ - I am doing well with Paleo/Primal - I am having some trouble with fixing too much food for my meals at home and I will learn how to adjust that and will fix less knowing I can always have more if I need it but if I fix too much, more than I need to eat I will eat it - weight today 319.4, K below neg, BS 104 -

I am pretty depressed about this - I like running and I would like to run faster and farther but I also do not want to give up riding and the running of longer distances on Saturday most of the time means I am unable to ride Sunday - I am also really worried about the two half marathons I have coming up which are one week apart - I fell like I can do the distance and time but I am worried about what kind of damage I might be doing to my feet and how long I may not be able to walk after doing either one and both -

World Wide Festival of Races Zen Runner 10K & Galloway Training Run 20a - 6.23 mile

OK good run - not great but pretty good - it was really pretty out there but a bit cool - I was not as fast as I would like to be but I did very well - I ate before the run and took some cheese with me also some sports bean - I never had any problems with my blood sugar - 8 total miles eating nothing - I did have Sport Beans with me just in case but did not eat them - I feel the Paleo is doing great - when I can more easily get fuel from fat I believe my energy level will improve - the bottoms of my feet are really sore and my right Achilles is hurting right now - the bottoms of my feet feel like the entire bottom has a stone bruise except they heal and quit hurting in several hours my Achilles with heal also but takes longer - This was my run for the World wide Festival of Races 10K and my time was OK - I am pretty sure I will win the 300+ pound class - I am tired of being so slow - I fell I am doing pretty good but I am tired of being slow -

Rest Day

Well I was planning to go to the gym this morning before work to do some core work but I was tire when I got up at 6AM so I decided to go back to bed for an hour and rest/sleep. I did sleep some and felt a lot better when I got up at 7:10 AM - I forgot to measure my BS(blood sugar) this morning - I am bugged that I forgot to do it before eating - OK I am going to out my self this morning my weight had gone up to 324.6 pounds in spite of everything I was doing with diet and exercise - how I could gain 14 pounds while eating 2000 - 2200 calories on the Zone food plan just did not make any sense to me of the Dietitian I went to - I have no idea how many calories I am eating right now what I do know is that I am eating 50 grams of carbs a day or less and I am working on getting it down to 30 grams a day or less - the point to all this is that this morning I weighted 320.4 pounds - I am still not sure about the reliability of my scale but I am trying to get repeatable reading from it - if it is correct I have lose 4 pounds! and I am feeling great sometimes when running I feel like I am low on fuel but no real problems - no gym so no blood pressure this AM - K(Ketones) was still below negative this morning - I am looking forward to the Galloway run Saturday to see how I do with the Paleo eating on longer endurance exercises - I will have some sports beams with me just in case but I usually do have them with me but I will only us them in an emergency - I am thinking that my Friday core work outs will be optional - I will always plan on doing them but Friday is my rest day and if I need to skip them I will - I really do not what any more upper body muscle just do want s good core - I have heard that some people who have had balance problems have gotten part or all or normal balance back after being on the Paleo diet due to the restriction of carbo from grains and lagoons - I am hopping - would love being able to ride my recumbent bike again and run with out staring at the ground most of the time - I really wish I had not forgotten to measure my blood sugar this morning - I lower my insulin for 70 units twice a day to 60 units twice a day the first day of the Paleo food plan and my BS has been great each day since then - just wanted to know what it was this morning -

Thursday Night Greenfield ride

I had a good ride but even after over 10 days off the trike I still had some server pain in my right leg - I tried removing the foam pad from the seat - the trike did feel better to ride but my leg still started hurting - I can try moving the seat forward and reclining it more but if that does not help I am at a lose at what to do - it was nice to ride again but the pain was bad and since I am pretty sure it is caused by a circulation problem I am concerned I might be dong some sort of damage to my leg - well at least I can run until I can figure this out - not sure what to do about the CBC ride Sunday - missing

ConnectGarmin site is down - I had a good run but not a comfortable one - really felt my power fade as I was running - again like hypoglycemia but not the same even through I felt poor I never felt like I was passing out or like that - I just felt like I was completely out of gas - in spite of all this I was still trying to push the pace just to learn what I could do and expect - I had cheese and sports beans with me but did not eat any - I had removed the KT Tape between the runs and the pain below the calf seemed to be better, maybe - was really hungry when I got back so I ate at 11:40 - earlier than I had planned but I need to remember on Paleo I eat when hungry not on a schedule - I wish I would lose just a little weight so I could know this is working - I will take blood pressure at the gym on the machine there before the work out so I can try to track it to see if it is changing - no stair today want to let the area below the calf to rest and heal - looking forward to the ride this afternoon - first ride in over a week -

Good run felt better this morning than yesterday but still not 100% - no pain this morning - I was delayed twice by traffic or I would have had a better time - I felt like I was running well and pushing the pace - first day on Paleo food plan went well - I have added a layer of meat, cheese and greens to my Paleo work meal stack - ate it this morning and it does not seem like too much but I do feel sated - I lowered my insulin last night and for now on - my BS went from 94 yesterday to 88 today with less insulin - if this is due to the Paleo food plan I am very encouraging - K is neg. Tuesday Evening Run

Nice run but I am definitely feeling the effects of the Paleo - did not think it would start so soon - I feel fine most of the time except when I am running - I feel OK when running but not 100% - I wanted to go to the Galloway Race Preparations talk and wanted to do my run so I dressed to run and when to TAF and asked if I need to sign up or just show up - then I went to run - I just ran from the store like I did Saturday morning but added some to it - I even ran through the little park near the store - it was a nice run - I was trying to push my pace but felt sluggish - I will be glad when this is over - but I will get through this -

Wow - good run but I felt like crap - was not hypoglycemia but felt something like it - I knew it was not hypoglycemia because it it went to a certain point but then stopped - I knew the Paleo food plan would cause me to feel poorly for a while but I did not expect it to hit so soon - oh well I can live with it as long as it does get better - I did push the pace as much as I could - I forgot to bring a cheese stick with me - had power beans but did not want to eat them if possible - was really hard to not eat any of those power beans - put Bio Freeze on my leg and Achilles and it really helped with the pain - not sure if this is a good idea but it felt good - no other pain - the second part of the run was pretty good but I never felt like I had much power - felt drained - I would like to only eat four times a day so I will add a little meat to the meals I prepare for breakfast, lunch1 and lunch2 - according to the Paleo pod-cast I am listening to I am not eating enough protein - interesting -

Good run - felt good - felt like I was running a good pace but when I checked my Forerunner it said 57:23 time which is not bad but not great either but my moving time was only 50:52 minutes which would be a very good time - I got delayed several time by traffic and lights so I did have a pretty good time tonight - no pain except for a little Achilles pain - sometimes during the run I was able to do the same stride I was doing during the Lunch run but not all the time - I was not sure what I was doing different that sometimes made the difference - I will just keep trying to find out how to repeat it and do it all the time - Met with Jon, Emily, Jerry, Meri, Bert, Dave and Jessica - good times

Good run - felt good and fast and it was fast for me according to the number - my stride felt different not real sure how it was different but it did feel different somehow - it felt like I was moving more per stride - I was able to go back to it after each walk interval - blood sugar has been a real pain today - had to delay starting this run by fifteen minutes due to low blood sugar and just not I had to eat thrty minutes early because it felt like I was going to have problem - I really hope the Paleo food plan does eliminate this problem this is so annoying - my heart rate have been sort of nuts recently or so that Forerunner has reported them so - my heart rate has really been normal so I am changing the battery on the HR belt hopping it fixes this problem - looking forward to the Tir na nOg run tonight - I hope I can have another run like this one tonight -

Galloway Training Run 19 - 8.52 miles

OK - good run - ran with Bert again for about four miles - it was nice to see him and to chat with him - did seem to make the mikes go by easier - when I started at 6AM it was very cool - but pretty and once I was warmed up it was not bad - I am just still so darn slow - I fell like I am doing well and as good as I can right now but it is still frustrating - If I do not start early I would get back after everyone else has gone - wore the new Nimbus 12 today - felt good no problems - right Achilles was hurting today as was the lower calf area - it was hurting a lot - not sure what that is need to find out if there is something I can do about that - bottoms of my feet keeled up real quickly today - no other pain - I was not running easy but it was not bad just not one of my best runs -
